DN Capital makes strategic hire to support European expansion

Rasmus Areksoug joins as Head of Nordics

DN Capital (“DN”), the global early-stage venture firm, today announces the appointment of Rasmus Areksoug as Principal and Head of Nordics. In this role, Rasmus will be focused on spearheading DN’s investments in the Nordics, principally Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Rasmus has strong operational experience, especially within the software industry. Prior to joining DN, Rasmus served as Chief Financial Officer at GetAccept, a software company that has been backed by DN since January 2019. Before that Rasmus worked in the investment team of TCV, where he was doing growth stage investments across Europe. He graduated from Lund Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management.

The Nordics have been a priority region for DN, with the software sector having proved especially rewarding for the team, which has seen successful investments in Leapwork, GetAccept and Tbricks.

Nenad Marovac, DN Capital Managing Partner, commented: “I am very pleased to welcome Rasmus to the team. This is a strategically significant hire and follows on the heels of Gülsah Wilke’s arrival as Partner to head our German office. It is testament to our continued commitment to the European market through the addition of industry-leading talent, and we’re also delighted to bring across a portfolio company CFO.”

Thomas Rubens, DN Capital Partner, added: “I have known Rasmus for over five years, having worked closely with him when DN led a $7million Series A funding round for GetAccept in 2019. He was instrumental to the early success of GetAccept, and his extensive hands-on experience of growing a business will be valuable both to DN as well as to future portfolio companies. His background in B2B software complements our current sector specialisms and I am looking forward to working closely with him.”

Rasmus Areksoug concluded: “Having worked with DN as an operator for the past five years, I’ve been struck by the teams’ dedication, energy and value add to entrepreneurs. I am extremely excited to help shape and drive DN’s presence in the Nordics, and I look forward to working closely together with my colleagues in London, Berlin and San Francisco.”
